The English Premier League or EPL is going to start. Brazil is past us and Man Utd along with Liverpool have completed their US tour, it is now back on the English soil. After the World Cup in Brazil there have been some big ticket purchases especially by Spanish giants Real Madrid.
So all the attention is back on the domestic season and let’s have a sneak peak at how the odds are stacking up for different teams. There are some interesting odds that are being thrown up which certainly makes for interesting reading.
Championship: Toughest choice of all? How about Wolves at 18/1, the money is there and I don’t think they’ve finished spending yet.
League 1: Leyton Orient are improving steadily, 10/1 might be value.
League 2: Southend are a well run club and may surprise at 16/1.
Conference: Torquay are definitely in decline, but I think there may be hope, 12/1 is tempting.
I would not be looking to speculate in the Premier League, prices on offer reflect a poor percentage book for the top 5. Small interest may be Everton at 125/1 as they did exceptionally well last season and there are chances that they might perform well this season too. So it would not be a bad idea to try your luck.
Overall perspective: Small accumulator excluding the Prem. ok at 4,500/1 +, if not, wait.
